Dr. Rashid is a highly accredited board certified specialist in Prosthodontics. A Prosthodontist is a fully trained dental specialist in the area of cosmetic dentistry, crowns and bridges, dental implants, restoration and missing teeth replacement. Prosthodontists possess the expert knowledge and experience to treat patients with more complex dental problems. Your doctor may refer you to a prosthodontist to treat the more difficult dental problems, such as procedures to replace or reconstruct multiple missing teeth. Apart from the functional aspects, patients with cosmetic concerns should consult with a prosthodontist. These complex treatments require the expert knowledge and experience that only a trained prosthodontist can provide. Imperfect teeth, whether present from birth, due to natural decay or caused by a traumatic accident, can be replaced with attractive, functional teeth.

Dr. Rashid completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta over twenty years ago an then attended graduate studies at the University of Michigan. After specializing her skills for three years in Michigan, Dr. Rashid returned to Vancouver and worked in private practice for several years.

Dr. Rashid places a high importance on continuing education. Dr. Rashid had an opportunity further her skills as a fellow at the University of Florida. For over a year she worked under the guidance of world renowned professors at the University of Florida’s Center for Implant Dentistry placing dental implants and completing several complex full mouth reconstructions for her patients. She lectures locally and presented one of her complex full mouth reconstruction cases in Munich, Germany at the International Team for Implantologists twenty fifth anniversary World Symposium.

After returning to Vancouver Dr. Rashid has opened her own clinic in beautiful Coal Harbour providing her patients with a full range of dental services including esthetic and implant dentistry.

The clinic is located in Vancouver's beautiful Coal Harbour. We're near the corner of West Hastings Street and Broughton. We're minutes from the downtown core and close to the Burrard Skytrain station. There is plenty of meter parking just outside the office.
